This dynamic trail leads over a wide subalpine plateau squeezed between the valley of Baška grapa and the Idrijca valley. The plateau with its widespread network of smooth gravel and paved roads surrounded with carefully cultivated meadows and distinctive Karst phenomena is most certainly appropriate even for less experienced cyclists. The trail will lead you along the edge of this plateau which offers splendid views of the Julian Alps and the Idrija and Cerkno Hills. You can access the plateau along the road from the village of Idrija pri Bači which you reach by taking the flat Kosmač Educational Trail (KUP) routed on the left bank of the river Idrijca which is appropriate for all cyclists, especially for those who would like to refresh themselves by bathing in the river.
At the plateau, you can start your tour in the village of Ponikve with its famous Church of Saint Mary which was, after its demolition in the World War II, rebuilt and significantly redesigned by the renowned Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. Alternatively, you can start your tour at the nearby Suše ski slope. After visiting the Church in Ponikve you will have to turn from the main road on the forest trail and cross the plateau above the village in the direction of the river Idrijca. After a while you will turn back on the main road which you will follow until you will reach the village of Šentviška Gora. From there, you will continue your tour through the village of Pečine and cycle towards the junction with the road coming from the village of Slap ob Idrijci, but you will turn before you this junction and cross the plateau to the village of Prapetno Brdo. You will cycle through this village and exit it at the right side of the football field from where you will cross the nearby meadows, cycle through the village of Polje and finally reach Šentviška Gora where you will make another circle through the villages of Zakraj and Daber. There, you will be faced with the most demanding part of the tour ascending to the Črv Peak. Before descending to the village of Bukovo you will turn left towards the peak and reach the sightseeing edge of the plateau above the Baška grapa valley. From this sightseeing spot you will descend to the village of Zagomilca where you will turn right to the northern edge of the plateau and return to your starting point past the Suše ski slope.
